Happy Harvest Season!
For each volunteer who donates charitable service through music and story, we are so thankful The number of youth who want to play music or mentor for the Foundation’s programs grows every week. New senior facilities and Title I schools in the Nation's Capital area contact us for programs by youth and music. The last three weeks of October, children have assembled over 2000 CDs into jewel cases, sending their “wish” for each recipient as they pack. Shady Grove Adventist Hospital has provided a Conference Room each Saturday in October for this purpose. As the children take turns playing music in the Lobby, others pack CDs into jewel cases into boxes for shipping. As of first week of November, the Foundation has shipped CDs to Fisher Houses throughout the country, NYC NLEAFCF First Responders, Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA, Sandy Hook PTSA in Hamden, CT, and Las Vegas, NV Medical Center. For 2018 CD donations, the Foundation has produced seven different albums, all beautifully designed and performed. The inserts will be provided on the website for your viewing: www.tacyfoundation.org.
We would like to produce 3260 CDs.

The above is the “Wish List.” As in years past, we make as many CDs as we can afford with the donations that come in. To date we have made 2100. We would love to fill the Wish List of 3260 CDs for everyone who has asked for them. The costs, though discounted drastically by local businesses that continue to support the Foundation, is the most substantial that we undertake each year. $10 per CD is the average cost.
The purpose for the CDs is to place in the patient’s hands a small, tangible gift. This gift is packed with hope and love from children of all ages. It arrives for him or her to lend our support for the challenges in their lives.
Join us and reach out with us to all of those on the list above with your warmth, joy, and love. Join us this season of Thanksgiving with your financial support. No matter how small or how large, your support is deeply appreciated. All donations are tax-exempt by our 501c3 status.
